Staffing NJPAC

Each day you work hard to be successful and build a great staffing business… providing positive long-term employment opportunities for your own staff and your candidates/ applicants.

And each year our state legislature and government in Trenton attempts to impose new laws and regulations that prevent our ability to succeed and have a future.

Challenging fiscal and economic times bring both opportunities and threats:

• Legislation has been passed (or considered) that limits the ability of firms to do pre-employment screening.
• Only with the current Governor’s refusal to increase taxes has the state not repeated its frequent, immediate solution to budget shortfalls, i.e., higher taxes so far.
• New state mandates continue to be proposed legislatively that make NJ uncompetitive.
• Only with referendums have NJ’s citizens created protection for unemployment taxes and other similar funds from being diverted for other purposes by the state.
• New Jersey’s state government continues to be at a tipping point of reverting back to its “old ways of operating” versus a more business/private sector friendly approach.

All of these and other factors have perpetuated an image that New Jersey is not the best location for growing businesses… negatively affecting the growth of NJ’s private economy and consequently the staffing industry.

The list goes on and on… We must insure that the Governor's Office, Assemblymen, Senators, Commission Directors, and Department Commissioners understand our industry and give both the temporary staffing and direct hire industry the respect and value we deserve.

We need your support! In order for us to have the opportunity to engage in a productive conversation with our state Assemblymen and Senators we must have a strong state-focused political action committee so that our industry can get the same attention as other competing influences with their own political action committees are getting!
