MEMBERS ONLY PROGRAM

NJSA's Members-Only Staffing University is a series of workshop presentations will focus on the operational issues that challenge all staffing firms but yet impact your ability to be successful. These presentations are designed to provide important information in a concise, flexible and timely manner – to make best use of your staff’s time and talents. The sessions will be two hours in length with a top-notch speaker followed by an opportunity to network with your peers.

The April 11th workshop will focus on immigration issues for staffing companies.  In 2018 alone, Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued nearly 10,000 Notice of Inspections investigating I-9 Compliance, many of which were served on staffing companies. Given the volume of new hires for staffing companies, they are uniquely exposed to significant I-9 fines; therefore, it is critical to be up to speed with issues arising in I-9 investigations of staffing companies, including proper and timely completion of the forms, reverification for expiring work authorizations, remote hires and electronic I-9 systems. This session will review the most common areas of liability for staffing firms and how to avoid them.
